Today's learning tasks:
- class field trip - Kobie Boykins: Exlploring Mars
- science - compost bins observation period
- body break - Mario style :)
- language arts - Why do we write? Who do we write for? (creating an invitation for the reader)

Ask  your child:
- how they earned DOJO points this week
- what happened with their compost bins?

Homework:
- D2L assignment - "12 Steps to Being a Good Caretaker of Earth" - due on WEDNESDAY (submit via Dropbox)!
- spelling practice - NEW words now posted
- nightly reading, math facts practice (SEE NEW LINKS TO EDUCATIONAL WEBSITES THROUGH YOUR D2L PAGE!)

Reminders/Up-coming Events:
- Teacher's Convention next Thursday and Friday (no school for students)
- Family Day holiday the following Monday - no school
- Friday February 28 - Field Trip *we need one more volunteer, or we won't be able to go!
